Do you ever feel like there’s a hole in your heart that you just can’t seem to fill? Chances are, it’s a God-shaped hole that only God can fill. We all have a longing to be loved and cared for and to show love and care in return. You don’t have to look any farther because you already have someone who cares about you more than anyone else can possibly care for you- God!
God created you. He created every single little detail about you. You are absolutely perfect in the eyes of God. He loves you more than words can express! I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty incredible.
I think we lose sight of how much God truly does love us. We put Him on the back burner and use Him when we need Him. But,the truth is, if we make Him number one, we won’t be worrying about filling that hole in our hearts. He will completely fill it. Now, that doesn’t mean our lives will suddenly be perfect and without problems. It does mean that our lives will have guidance and meaning.
If you make God number one, His desires for your life start to become your desires. When you face a problem, He will give you strength to push through and wisdom to handle the situation correctly. Instead of trying to fill that unquenchable desire in your heart with things that don’t matter or people that will let you down, try seeking God and experience His great love for you. He’s the only one who can truly satisfy you!
Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
