Use Freecycle and Other Online Networks

There are lots of ways you can get rid of unwanted furniture items online. One of these is Freecycle. The Freecycle Network is a non-profit organization that gets rid of your old furniture for free. Simply pop a picture and short description of the item onto Freecycle and watch the requests come flooding in. If you’re clever about it, you can even request that those who want the furniture come and collect it themselves. That way, all you have to do is have the furniture ready for when they arrive. Freecycle is all about reusing and re-purposing old items of furniture to prevent our unwanted belongings from ending up in the landfill.

Sell Unwanted Furniture Items

Another great way to get rid of unwanted furniture is to sell it. It goes without saying that we all like to earn a little bit of money from items we no longer use. By selling your unwanted items of furniture you can make a bit of money to go towards your new home.
