Whether you offer them to family or friends, or you know someone who knows some else in need of a sofa…there are always people in your social circle worth asking when it comes to taking a few items off your hands. After all, people love free things!

Simply advertise your items on social media and be sure to include pictures.

The Freecycle Network is a non-profit organization that gets rid of your old furniture for free. Simply pop a picture and short description of the item onto Freecycle and watch the requests come flooding in. If you’re clever about it, you can even request that those who want the furniture come and collect it themselves. That way, all you have to do is have the furniture ready for when they arrive. Freecycle is all about reusing and re-purposing old items of furniture to prevent our unwanted belongings from ending up in the landfill.
