Do You Want a Great Life?

I used to want a mediocre life. I wasn’t consciously aware that I did. I didn’t want a great life. I just wanted a safe, good, happy life. Most people do. But, why have a good life, when I can have a great life?

Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think God put us on this earth to be comfortable and have a good life. He put us on this earth to do His work and His work is not mediocre. God qualifies us to do great things. He gives us plenty of opportunities.

The definition of “great” is different for each person. Some people don’t have the talents and strengths to lead a revolution, but they might have an amazing talent of connecting with people on a personal level. You don’t have to have certain talents to be great. You just need to use what God has given you to the best of your ability and focus on developing your talents to the best they can be.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24
